How I Avoid Unnecessary Distractions & Stay Committed To My Children’s Book

It’s easy for everything else to be more important than your project.

Even if you schedule a meeting with yourself for this Saturday, sometimes it’s hard to say no to a friend calling to grab a drink.

But what if you schedule a time to work alongside someone else?

My husband is a software engineer, so he doesn’t sketch. …but he reads. He also watches online lessons.

Every Saturday (or Sunday) we have a date at the coffee shop for 2 to 3 hours. And after that, we grab a snack together and talk about our progress.

Keeping myself accountable and working on my Children’s Book has never been this fun.

What’s on your schedule?

Anyone who’s willing to jump in a weekly online hangout will do, Crystal! 😀

Ania, I’ve never tried working with my wife this way. She does like to read “together”…we are both reading different stuff but sitting together. 😀

I love reading together with other people! It’s so calm and peaceful…

This past weekend we went to the coffee shop again and sat by the window. It was raining so much outside, the mood was perfect 🙂 Let me know if you try it out and how it goes for you, John! 😀
