If we say energy is water, then we’re a bucket.
Every bucket gets fresh water after a good night of sleep.
Every task we do and every single decision we make takes water from our bucket.
Have in mind that everyone is a different kind of bucket: some can hold more water than others.
Some buckets have what I call a hole: an issue, inherent to the bucket, that constantly lets water leak (like being sick or suffering from an illness).
…and every bucket suffers unexpected attacks from time to time (“Oh no, my pet got sick! Quick, to the vet!”).
When you figure out the kind of bucket you are, how much water you get every morning and how much you spend by task, the possibilities become much clearer.
So, how much water do you have?
(Being aware of your kind of bucket is the first step towards productivity. Bear in mind that there’s no universal answer that tells you how to manage your time. Check Productivity is a Tailored Suit for more information.)
